Join the MercyOne Family. We are looking to hire an Infection Prevention Specialist
As an Infection Prevention Specialist at MercyOne, you will work in collaboration with the Infection Prevention Manager, Hospital Epidemiologist, and other Infection Prevention Specialist to implement regulations and evidenced-based practices to reduce the risk on a health care- associated infection. Responsibilities include, education, consultation, surveillance, prevention and control, and quality improvement. The person in this role will; collect and analyze data, participate in the evaluation of products and procedures, assist in the development and review of policies and procedures, consult on infection risk assessment, prevention, and control strategies, develops education efforts directed at interventions to reduce infection risks, implementation of changes mandated by regulatory, accrediting, and licensing agencies, apply epidemiological principals, including activities directed at improving patient outcomes, provide high quality services in cost-efficient manner, and participate in research projects as needed.
Schedule:
- Day Shift 40 hours weekly
General Requirements:
- Requires a minimum of three (3) years experience
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Field OF Study: Nursing, Epidemiology, Microbiology, Public Health
