Infection Prevention/QAPI

It is our mission at Rockmart Health, to keep all of our vulnerable residents safe. We are seeking a dedicated, and qualified RN to join our team to lead our Infection Prevention, QAPI and Staff Education Programs. The ideal applicant will be hardworking, reliable, detail-oriented, dynamic, and high-motivated.

Pay Range

$32 - $40 based on licensing and experience

RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Infection Prevention

ü Assist with the collection of specimens from residents and staff to test for COVID-19 and other infectious diseases

ü Assist with various aspects of infection control including but not limited to educating employees on hygiene best practices, social distancing, and mask sanitation

ü Work in collaboration with the Corporate Infection Prevention Nurse Manager

ü Perform other duties as assigned

Quality Improvement

ü Implements and monitors the organization's quality improvement program.

ü Ensures there are processes in place to monitor and measure all activities related to performance improvement in all facility departments.

ü Ensures processes are in place to monitor and evaluate safety and risk management programs that impact both patients and staff within the facility.

Staff Education Coordinator

ü Responsible for assisting in identifying training needs and in planning, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of staff development programs within an assigned area of responsibility.

ü This position matches the learning needs of nursing staff and non-nursing staff with educational programs designed to meet dynamic resident care demands.

ü Responsible for ensuring compliance with all State and Federal guidelines for in-service education and new employee orientation.

Requirements

ü Possession of a valid Georgia RN license which is in good standing.

ü Ability to meet all health requirements, including a drug screen.

ü Ability to pass a criminal background check.

ü Prior long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
