Your Role

Chicago Pneumatic is a worldwide leader for power tools in markets, such as Industry & Maintenance. We are looking for a collaborative and entrepreneurial industrial product marketing manager to drive our industrial development and future growth.Additionally, you would be responsible for devising and implementing an effective product marketing and communication strategy to drive profitable growth in various key markets. Most importantly, one of your main goals would be to ensure all key stakeholders are engaged with Chicago Pneumatic at an optimum level.

Reporting to Product & Commercial Marketing Leader, the Industrial Product Marketing Manager will play a strategic role for the development and profitable growth of the product line for the general industry business segments in North America. The mission is to devise and implement an effective product marketing and communication strategy to ensure all key stakeholders are engaged with Chicago Pneumatic at an optimum level:

Research and Assessment:
  • Identify future product and customer needs by conducting Voice of Customer sessions and communicate the information to the Product Company team for new product development.
  • Analyze product/technology offerings of the industry to identify product/technology gaps and overlaps.
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and trends.
Develop Strategy:
  • Create general industry Go to Market business plan, including full offering plan, marketing, sales enablement, metrics and cadence.
  • Collaborate across the organization to develop the offering strategy, to include applications, channel, products, marketing programs, services, capturing full business lifecycle.
  • Develop and define targeted personas for efficient customer experience.
  • Create an industrial channel expansion plan with management, National Sales Manager, national account team, including metrics and cadence.
  • Develop with the digital marketing team, lead generation and nurturing campaigns.
Execute Plan:
  • Drive execution of key business development offering activities, including identification, development/planning and onboarding of the new channels
  • Communicate, educate and enable strategy across the organization to ensure alignment
  • Execution of business and market strategies
  • Enable and mentor organization to ensure effective plan execution, define and communicate roles and responsibilities.
  • Support field sales digital sales activity and digital end user engagement through the development of value-added tools such as market mapping, lead conversion, lead nurturing and social media selling content.
  • Create strategic message and selling points clearly articulating the value proposition, offering benefit and differentiators
Measure:
  • Establish annual target and follow-up quarterly for each industrial product groups.
  • Evaluate and understand specific scorecards and create countermeasure to revert to positive trends.
  • Monitors and critically evaluates the marketing mix of the respective market segments
  • Manage revenue and profit growth for the general industry business and channels.

To succeed, you will need


Qualifications
  • Expert on Industrial and MRO markets (metal fabrication / composites, oil & gas and power generation) and what drives sales.
  • Capable of performing professional presentations, demonstrations and conduct VOC.
  • Has basic knowledge about project management tools and methods.
  • Capability to make creative solutions based on the product portfolio.
Experience
  • 5-7 yrs. of experience in product marketing or sales in the Industrial / MRO Industry
  • Customer Relations Management
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or similar field
Travel
  • Local travel, and up to 20% overnight.
  • Occasional international travel throughout North Americaincluding Canada and Mexico.
