Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and maintaining manufacturing and facility equipment. This role requires the use of diagnostic tools such as VOM meters, oscilloscopes, and current clamps, as well as mechanical equipment like welders, soldering and brazing tools, mills, and lathes to perform repairs. Additionally, the technician may assist with running conduit, data, and phone lines to support production needs and contribute to process improvements for enhanced product quality.
Essential Job Functions:
The following duties are representative of the tasks associated with this position. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Maintain and repair production and facility equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
- Install and maintain air, water, and drain lines as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
- Operate mills, lathes, welders, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs.
- Utilize PMXpert software to process work orders and manage parts for repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechanical systems, or HVAC (preferred).
- Minimum of three years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as VOM meters, current clamps, and oscilloscopes.
- Experience operating mills, lathes, and welding equipment (preferred).
- Strong computer, math, and reading skills, with the ability to interpret blueprints.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, sometimes on short notice.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
