Job Summary
Established specialty wood products manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced maintenance tech for direct hire. Candidate will perform both preventative maintenance and repairs of industrial wood processing equipment as well as facility maintenance.

Responsibilities and Duties
Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, administer preventative maintenance programs and procedures. Inspect equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Maintain and repair motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
perform predictive and preventative maintenance programs
Ensure safety is of paramount importance to all and convey the message throughout all departments as a part of the corporate culture.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Working conditions:
Required to communicate in an industrial setting at a moderate noise level.
Required to stand and walk on a concrete surface for 8 hours per day.
Occasionally required to reach, climb or balance, stoop, crouch or crawl. Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Qualifications and Skills
requirements include:
Basic understanding of electronics and mechanics
Working knowledge of mechanical systems such as pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, plant equipment, air compressors, etc.
Working knowledge of electrical systems such as PLCs, drives, servos, motors, plant electrical, control panels, welding, cutting or other metal fabrications.
Must be able to use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges and dial indicators.
Strong knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance. Proven technical aptitude, problem solving and teamwork skills.
At least two years of mechanical experience on CNC machines or industrial equipment. Also acceptable is aircraft/helicopter mechanics.
Regular hours are Mon-Fri 7:00-3:30 but may require working overtime or Saturdays if needed.
