We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician with Electrical, Set Up, and Programming expertise to join our team at Theochem Laboratories in Tampa, FL. This hybrid role will involve maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems across various types of equipment in our Liquid Plant. This includes equipment such as Blending, Filling lines, In-line & rotary fillers, cappers, labelers, box erectors, and Case packers. Additionally, this position will involve working with electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and performing welding tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical background, 10+ years of experience, welding skills, some programming experience, and the ability to work with electrical systems to ensure optimal operation of all machinery. TKey Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems across production equipment.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions using both manual and computerized diagnostic tools.
Troubleshoot PLCs and other programmable systems to ensure seamless operation of machinery.
Assist in programming and optimizing control systems for machinery, with a focus on improving operational efficiency.
Conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure equipment longevity.
Perform welding tasks (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc welding) for repairs, modifications, or fabrication of equipment as needed.
Repair, replace, and modify electrical components such as motors, sensors, actuators, and control panels.
Work with a variety of tools and equipment, including pneumatic systems, as well as diagnostic software and multimeters.
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate mechanical and electrical components into new systems or troubleshoot existing systems.
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used and time spent on tasks.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and operational guidelines.
