The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment within the manufacturing facility. This includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and support continuous production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Inspect, test, and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and identify solutions using technical manuals, schematics, and testing equipment.
  • Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, welders, hoists, cranes, and precision instruments.
  • Assist in the installation, relocation, and setup of new equipment or production lines.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and work orders in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with production staff and engineers to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests during production and on-call periods.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs (programmable logic controllers).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Good understanding of lockout tagout procedures and industrial safety standards.
  • Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and CMMS use.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in electrical or mechanical systems (eg, journeyman, NCCER, or equivalent).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma maintenance principles.
  • Experience with robotics or automation systems.

This role will sit ONSITE out of the Salisbury, NC facility.
