Our Lincoln, NE location is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team. Are you ready to shape the future with us? THE POSITION Industrial Engineer, ContiTech USA, LLC, Lincoln, NE: Manage engineering capital investment projects related to material processing equipment. Improve rubber processing department by reducing scrap, increasing labor efficiency and machine reliability, and troubleshooting issues. Create, modify, and optimize material processing specifications and recipes in SAP and MAZDA. Conduct new material trials including tracking, feedback, problem solving and recommendations. Implement and improve production visibility and tracking through Power BI. Estimate and analyze production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control. Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product. Problem-solve and troubleshoot based on fundamental engineering principles. Must be available outside normal business hours up to 20% of the time to conduct trainings and on-floor trial runs. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Materials Engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years of work experience in Rubber Manufacturing. Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Any ERP System; Any CAD Software; Problem-Solving Methods, such as 5Why, 8D, A3 or Fishbone; Conducting in-person training with Operators; and Writing technical instructions. Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following: Rubber compounding and material processing; Hands-on production line troubleshooting and operator collaboration; Managing capital investment projects; and Coordinating the procurement, installation and startup of Capital Equipment.
