Overview:
One of our automotive clients is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join their team at a sports car manufacturing plant in Flat Rock, MI. The successful candidate will evaluate and improve production methods, costs, and employee schedules to increase revenue while minimizing costs. They will work closely with UAW workers and must be knowledgeable about their contractual rules.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate current production methods and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop strategies to enhance performance, reduce costs, and optimize employee schedules.
- Collaborate with UAW workers, ensuring compliance with contractual rules.
- Implement lean production techniques and ergonomic solutions.
- Manage projects effectively to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, including working alongside UAW workers.
- Experience with MODAPTS.
- Proficiency in industrial engineering, ergonomics, lean production, and project management.
- Skilled in using CAD, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office software.
- Comfortable working overtime and weekends.
Compensation:
$35/hr to $37/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
