Essential Functions and Responsibilities for a Journeyman Electrician:
Install electrical panelboards, switchgear, lighting, disconnects; install and terminate electrical conductors for power and controls; troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including feeders and branch circuits Install conduit for the ground, ladders, and or Mobile Elevated work platforms. (Conduit types include Galvanized Rigid Conduit, Aluminum Rigid Conduit, Intermediate Metal Conduit, Electrical Metallic Tubing, and Polyvinyl Chloride Conduit) Install all work in a manner that emphasizes safety first, quality second, while maintaining productivity standards Install all electrical material in a manner that minimizes waste Participate in daily safe work plans and weekly safety meetings
Minimum Requirements for a Journeyman Electrician:
10,000 hours of work experience in a commercial and/or industrial setting or completion of a nationally recognized apprenticeship program. Reliable transportation Must supply own hand tools Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus but not required
