Title Indiana University Counseling and Sport Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Appointment Status Non-Tenure Track Department IU Bloomington Athletics Location Bloomington Position Summary Indiana University Athletics is pleased to offer a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Counseling and Sport Psychology for the 2025-26 academic year. The position is a full-time, 12-month appointment with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2025, depending on candidate internship completion and graduation date. The postdoctoral fellow will join a team of a sport psychologist, sport social worker, and 1-2 advanced doctoral students. This fellowship is intended for an individual who is seeking specialized experience in the provision of mental health, performance enhancement, outreach, and consultation services to student-athletes. In addition to clinical training and experience, the postdoctoral fellowship is designed to promote professional development with the intention of preparing psychology professionals for employment in collegiate athletic department or other elite athlete settings. Training opportunities will be tailored to fellow desires as much as possible, with an emphasis on gaining clinical hours required for licensure. Basic Qualifications Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program. Successful completion of an APA-accredited doctoral internship.
