Job Title: Information Technology - Software Engineer I
Location : Position is 100% remote, seeking someone offshore: Asia preferred (India and some in Laos)
Contract Duration: 5 weeks Job Description: - Experienced Microsoft developer with 5+ years of experience working across both modern and older platforms/technologies.
- A proven track record of being a fast learner and able to dive into and solve problems common to operational support and small enhancements across the architectural stack components (e.g. .Net frameworks, upgrades of OS, DB, etc.).
Experience in developing and supporting applications in the following technologies: - node.js, Azure
- Azure Microservices and API/interfaces with off-the-shelf software
- .Net
- C
- SQL Server
- IIS
- Azure Databricks is a plus but not mandatory
The individual also needs to be able to work well with other teams (e.g. Infrastructure, security, networking, vendors, etc.) in a matrixed environment.
Position Overview: - Location: Offshore - Asia preferred (India and some in Laos)
- Hours: Depends on individual performance
- Current Needs: Operational support and development
- Future Plans: Expansion of managed workforce services in 2026
Technical Skillset:
Primary Skill: 80% Node.js (highest priority) Other Technologies: - Node.js and Azure
- Microservices and Unify backend
- API updates (Node.js integration)
- Basic architecture principles for development
Key Areas of Support: - Operational break-fix support
- Cloud migration activities (moving APIs from MuleSoft to Unify)
- Node.js interfaces with Azure microservices for operational support
- If additional capacity exists, enhancement work in Microsoft development (C )
Reason for Hiring: - Small enhancement projects are ongoing
Project Scope:
Major Initiative: - Migrating existing R&D applications from an on-prem CKC center to the KC cloud
- Architectural changes and modernization
- Transitioning APIs from Mulesoft to Unify backend (Node.js development required)
Ongoing Support: - Run and maintain applications developed in Node.js
- Ensuring Azure Microservices remain stable
- Small enhancements and feature development
Business Impact: - Supports R&D pipeline
- Leverages consumer product insights
- Contributes to new product development and improvement
- Consumer study image processing (facial blurring, text/body fit extraction)
