Opportunity for a 4th Night Vet at a Family-Run Practice in Norfolk
Following the successful launch of a new night service, we are pleased to advertise an opportunity for a 4th night vet within a lovely family-run independent practice in the picturesque county of Norfolk.
The practice is located approximately 15 miles from the centre of Norwich and just 5 miles from the Norfolk coastline and beaches. It is purpose-built and equipped with facilities including a CT scanner, laser suite, video gastroscope, bronchoscope, and various rigid scopes.
Role Details
- Seeking a vet to complete the effective night shift, separating night duties from the day team.
- Shift involves twilight consultations until 9:30 pm, which are popular with clients, with potential for routine night surgeries in the future.
- The shift is generally quiet, with emergencies being the main workload, allowing time for professional development.
- The practice aims to expand this service with other local practices, gradually increasing the workload.
Practice Environment and Caseload
The practice is gold level cat and rabbit friendly, prioritising high standards of clinical and emotional care. The caseload is varied, with a dedicated exotics vet handling most exotic consults. Training in exotics is available for those interested in progressing in this field. For those not interested, a routine caseload can be provided, with support available for other disciplines up to certificate level.

- Shifts are 7 days on, 21 days off.
- Accommodation can be provided during working weeks.
- Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience.
