Corporate Income Tax Manager
Location: Philadelphia, PA
A leading global distribution company with its North American headquarters located in Philadelphia, PA, and generating over $10 billion in U.S. revenue, is seeking a Corporate Income Tax Manager to join their dynamic team.
Position Overview:
The Corporate Income Tax Manager will oversee the companys income tax provision and compliance functions. This role requires strong technical expertise in ASC 740 income tax provision calculations and the ability to lead and develop a team of junior tax staff. Reporting directly to the Income Tax Director and VP of Tax, this position is instrumental in shaping tax strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and identifying process improvements to drive departmental efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation and review of the annual income tax provision, related journal entries, and financial statement footnotes.
Review tax account reconciliations, providing guidance and updates to staff.
Supervise external tax advisors to ensure timely, accurate income tax return filings.
Approve calculations and documentation prepared for annual return extensions and quarterly estimated payments.
Manage federal and multistate income tax audits.
Research current and proposed tax legislation, monitor regulatory developments, and prepare technical tax memorandums.
Develop junior team members through training, feedback, and performance reviews.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting required.
CPA license (or all parts of the exam passed) is strongly preferred.
6-7 years of corporate federal and multistate tax experience; prior public accounting experience highly desirable.
Proven experience with ASC 740 income tax provision calculations; OneSource Tax Provision software experience is a plus.
Knowledge of transfer pricing is an advantage.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
MST is a plus, but not required.
