Inbound Freight Coordinator
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Local Candidates Only)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Potential overtime pre- or post-shift; occasional Saturdays closer to holidays)
Status: 100% Onsite
Duration: 6 months (W2 Contract)
Pay Rate: $20-$24/hr.
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inbound Freight Coordinator to join our team in Phoenix. This role ensures inventory and inbound freight are picked up from vendors and delivered to fulfillment centers. Team members work behind a computer all day in a large office setting, managing shipment orders and coordinating with carriers and schedulers. You'll help track shipments, troubleshoot issues, and occasionally make outbound calls (approximately 10/day) to shippers or carriers for clarifications or rescheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage shipment cases to ensure freight is picked up and delivered to distribution centers.
- Communicate with shippers and carriers via case updates and minimal outbound calls.
- Accurately document shipment status and escalate issues when necessary.
- Navigate computer systems efficiently to manage workflows.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain and logistics partners.
Requirements:
- Must be local to Phoenix, AZ.
- Strong computer navigation skills.
- Ability to read and understand English clearly.
- Supply chain management or logistics background is highly preferred.
- Comfortable working independently and managing a high volume of tasks behind the computer.
