Competitive Pay Structure : Earn between $18.00 and $21.00 per hour as a Home Instead Caregiver.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home care services to clients in the Gresham area.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation, light housework, medication assistance.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients health or behavior to the care team.
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by the care team.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their needs are met.
Qualifications
- Previous Caregiving Experience: Personal or professional experience in caregiving is a plus.
- Empathy and Compassion: A deep understanding and sensitivity to the emotional and physical needs of the person being cared for, with a genuine desire to improve their quality of life.
- Patience: The ability to remain calm, understanding, and tolerant, especially in challenging or repetitive situations
- Attention to Detail: Observant and able to notice any changes in the health or well-being of the individual.
- Communication Skills: Effective, clear, and compassionate communication to ensure the person being cared for feels understood and to provide updates to family members when necessary.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Quick thinking and the ability to adapt to changing situations, often needing to find solutions independently.
- Time Management: Capable of organizing and completing caregiving tasks efficiently.
- English Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally (in person and on the phone) and in writing.
- Respect and Dignity: Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations.
- Travel Ability: Ability to travel at least 15 miles one way to an assignment.Willingness to consent to client safety devices that may include recording devices.
