Customs Entry Writer & Operations Coordinator - Los Angeles, CA


We are seeking a skilled Customs Entry Writer & Operations Coordinator to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in customs brokerage and freight forwarding who can handle shipments from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of import regulations, customs clearance, and the ability to manage operations efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and submit accurate customs entries in compliance with all regulations.
  • Classify goods using HTS codes and ensure correct duty and tax calculations.
  • Coordinate air and ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery.
  • Handle all aspects of operations from A-Z, including documentation, invoicing, and customer communication.
  • Work closely with customs brokers, carriers, and government agencies to facilitate smooth clearance.
  • Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to clients as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing and file closing.
  • Identify and resolve any shipment discrepancies or delays.

Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of experience in customs entry writing and freight forwarding.
  • Proficiency in CargoWise is a strong plus.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, ISF filings, AMS, FDA, POA, and compliance procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
