This position is for our client, a well-established integrated logistics company located in Torrance, CA. The company specializes in providing seamless, end-to-end logistics services, including warehousing, transport, and forwarding of electronic components. As an Import/Export Logistics Team Leader, you'll manage international shipment operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a small logistics team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in freight forwarding or global logistics looking to grow in a leadership role.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee import/export processes including ISFs, B/Ls, commercial invoices, and entry summaries
  • Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and internal policies
  • Coordinate with truckers, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure timely cargo movement
  • File ISF and CF7512 accurately and manage follow-ups through completion
  • Book shipments with ocean and air carriers and prepare necessary documentation (B/Ls, HAWBs, AES filings)
  • Track shipments and provide regular updates to clients and overseas offices
  • Generate billing packets and invoices; ensure timely delivery to clients
  • Collect rates and prepare quotes for clients and internal departments
  • Maintain accurate records and organized digital/physical files
  • Investigate and resolve OS&D (Overages, Shortages, Damages) issues and support formal claims when needed
  • Lead and support a team of 4-5 logistics coordinators; assist the Team Manager with daily operations
  • Collaborate with other branch offices and contribute to special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in import/export or logistics coordination
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
  • High School Diploma required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems independently
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • $27-$30/hr (Depending on Experience)

  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (on-site only)
