Role Description
- This is a part-time, on-site role for an Immigration Paralegal at Indus Pacific Law Office, located in San Diego, CA. The Immigration Paralegal will be responsible for assisting attorneys in handling immigration matters and preparing legal documents related to USCIS and Immigration Court filings.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Associate's degree and/or a Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program. Prior experience in removal defense is preferred.
- Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of preparation of forms and documents for filing to USCIS and EOIR.
- Research & Writing: Ability to conduct legal research, prepare case summaries, and draft client correspondence.
- Organizational & Time Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple cases, track deadlines, maintain accurate records, and update the calendar.
- Client Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and government agencies.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in legal case management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and document management systems.
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency (Spanish or another commonly spoken language in immigration law practice) is a plus.
