Alexandra Lozano Immigration Law, PLLC, a leading law firm specializing in humanitarian immigration law, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Immigration Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. We are looking for a passionate advocate with a strong background in litigation and removal defense who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to fighting for immigrants' rights.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of litigation experience in immigration court, including handling Individual Calendar Hearings (ICH), Master Calendar Hearings (MCH), bond hearings, USCIS interviews, and post-conviction relief. Experience with criminal hearings and state juvenile court or guardianship hearings is a plus. The candidate must also demonstrate exceptional legal research and writing skills, as well as the ability to travel as needed.

Our firm handles hearings nationwide; therefore, the ability to travel both nationwide and to our headquarters in Seattle, WA, as needed, is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality legal representation to clients in immigration court and before USCIS.
  • Manage a diverse and demanding caseload of immigration matters, ensuring thorough preparation for hearings and interviews.
  • Represent clients in removal defense, including Individual Calendar Hearings (ICH), Master Calendar Hearings (MCH) and bond hearings.
  • Advocate zealously in court, at hearings, and in negotiations with prosecutors and immigration authorities.
  • Conduct legal research and efficiently review motions, briefs, and appeals.
  • Review family petitions, T and U visas, VAWA applications, adjustment of status (AOS), naturalization, parole in place (PIP), waivers, and other immigration benefits.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services.
  • Stay current on immigration laws, policies, and procedures to ensure the best legal strategies for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure clarity and professionalism in all legal matters.
  • Travel nationwide as required for court hearings, client meetings, and case-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with a state bar.
  • Membership in the Washington (WA), Florida (FL), or Illinois (IL) state bars is a strong plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a strong emphasis on immigration litigation.
  • Proven experience representing clients in immigration courts and administrative proceedings.
  • Criminal defense experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining strong attention to detail and client-focused service.
  • Experience handling immigration applications including but not limited to T/U visas, VAWA, AOS, naturalization, PIP, waivers, and related immigration relief.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal information clearly and effectively.
  • Compassionate and able to work effectively under high-pressure and demanding situations.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide as necessary for case-related matters, including travel to Seattle, WA.
