Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Imaging Service Engineer II to support a hospital-based healthcare system in Philadelphia, PA. This role is ideal for a skilled technician with hands-on experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment in a clinical setting.
Under minimal supervision, this individual will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and calibrate a wide range of diagnostic imaging systems. You'll interact daily with clinical healthcare professionals to identify and resolve equipment-related issues while upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and calibrate diagnostic imaging equipment, devices, systems, and instruments
- Perform preventative maintenance and ensure equipment is functioning optimally and safely
- Troubleshoot and resolve technology-based problems in collaboration with clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards
- Document all service activity and prepare necessary reports
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff as needed
- Manage part ordering and service expenses within budget
- Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with all levels of staff
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (or equivalent military/technical training) in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience servicing imaging equipment in a healthcare setting
- Strong background in servicing Cath Lab systems, C-arms, and Ultrasound equipment
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of imaging devices
- Solid understanding of safety and compliance regulations
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work in a hospital or a large healthcare environment
- Experience in training or mentoring other technicians
- Familiarity with advanced imaging technologies and system integrations
