Role: Image Quality Engineer
Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite)
Job Term: 12 months contract with possibility of extension (only W2)
In this role, you will work with a team of scientists & engineers, using internally developed simulation tools to predict system-level performance of novel products and prototypes. Analysis of the simulation results will be used to directly improve product/prototype performance.
Job Responsibilities
Use simulation tools to model the end-to-end performance of display systems
Report analysis of these simulations to establish specifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of several of the following:
µLED, OLED, LCD, LCOS, DMD, etc. based displays, display metrology/calibration,
image signal processing, camera ISP, display pipeline architecture, digital filters, colorimetry, color space conversions, imaging waveguides, image quality metrics, and human perception.
Experience with image algorithm/ISP development, convolutions, Fourier transforms
Deep experience in MATLAB
BS in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Computer Science, Color Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work/education experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
MS in the field of Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related degree, PhD preferred
5+ years of experience in research or advanced display/camera development
or these display systems and ensure a successful product
Collaborate with the larger research team to explore concepts and drive system performance to create compelling experiences
Top 3 must-have HARD skills:
Camera - image pipeline design
Display - image pipeline design
tone mapping and gamut mapping
general background image signal processing or digital signal processing
experience with optical or distortion correction, color imagery
