What this job involves: This role is primarily responsible for supporting and/or managing the technical operations of an IFM research facility and campus environment. The successful candidate will ensure technical requirements are met and will mentor others on the team to ensure thoroughness of technical reviews, investigations, and equipment/system troubleshooting. The role will ensure compliance, financial, business support systems, and schedule compliance are met within the controlled environment of a Life Science high-end account. Managing and tracking customer relationship. This role requires a highly skilled cross functional individual with a proven track record of working in challenging environments. This includes support of mechanical, electrical, FLS, BMS, and 24/7 operations to ensure standards are met. Finally, this role requires a strong level of expertise in analytical and communication areas.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Ensure client satisfaction with clients at all levels in the organization, demonstrate leadership, responsiveness and creativity.
- Daily onsite presence of a campus environment.
- Maximize and train team members on existing technology, building system, critical equipment, and BMS.
- Maintain in depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices while implementing this standards across the site.
- Ensure optimal asset performance and system management.
- Primary lead on sustainability initiatives for the IFM team.
- Manage maintenance shutdown planning for the facility.
- Develop and maintain a strategic plan for work flow, planning, and scheduling, in support of JLL and client objectives, with a focus on innovation and best practices and standardize work scheduling processes and procedures.
- Lead and/or manage an engineering manager, and support the Operations and Maintenance team.
- Manage and track budgets, conduct variance analysis, perform and meet budget forecasts.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders throughout the organization, client, and vendor networks.
- Supervisory role involves people management, decision-making, root cause analysis, inspections and audit readiness, communication, and driving overall improvement of productivity.
- Provide technical direction and support to team of engineers, technicians, and mechanics to ensure work is completed in a timely manner, completed within site standards, and that backlog is reduced in compliance with KPI requirements.
- Develop and meet all standard operating procedures, codes, and regulations.
- Ensure consistent business support is compliant with service level agreement and ensure achievement of Key Performance Indicators.
- Implementation and management of the computerized maintenance management systems in accordance with JLL and client expectations.
- Perform additional job duties as requested.
Safety
- Identify risks to client facilities and eliminate downtime.
- Responsible for the adherence and compliance with all JLL work practices.
- Administer compliance with and reporting of applicable environmental health and safety programs
Training
- Primary coach and mentor for all technical operations, building systems, and development of site engineers and technicians.
- Develop training programs based on needs gathered through skills assessments and safety requirements.
- Administer technical skills assessments and technical training program of facility personnel.
Other
- Conduct business assessments and produce documentation.
- Support preparation of business operations driven documents, report and other deliverables.
- Assist all JLL departments such as PDS, Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Sourcing, Human Experience, Program Management, and EHS, as needed.
Work Schedule: Dayshift, Monday through Friday
Preferred Experience and Technical Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or related technical field
- Experience with sustainability initiatives and implementation
- Advanced degree in relevant field
- Experience with critical environment operations
- Knowledge of FDA, GMP, or other Life Sciences regulatory requirements
- Project management experience
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
- Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting
Required Experience and Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in technical operations management
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and building management systems
- Experience leading and developing technical teams
- Budget management experience
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations
Estimated total compensation for this position:
120 000.00 USD per year
