The Global Technology (GT) team at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) is on a multi-year journey to modernize technical and digital products and platforms across all business lines. This role demands a visionary leader with a technical understanding of the range of resort operations technical products in solving complex business challenges. As a member of the professional staff, contributes specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support team and/or department business objectives. Generally, works under limited supervision, but within established guidelines, producing and analyzing more complex business information to assist in the decision-making process.
Specific Job Summary
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer II will assist in the development and enhancement of IAM products like PingOne, PingID, AWS Cognito, Active Directory, and TDI. Supports role management, lifecycle management, and access certifications. Address business problems and provide coaching to peers. Stays updated on industry trends and solves technical issues. Supports IAM applications and trains users. Manages identity lifecycle events and troubleshoots using SIEM tools. Implements IAM policies and integrates with cloud platforms. Automates processes and contributes to security initiatives.
In addition, this person serves as an escalation point for technical problem analysis and resolution related to security technology operations. It requires hands-on technical work and a strong understanding of information security challenges, domains, concepts, and principles.

• Works with IAM leads and business IT managers to understand business requirements, enterprise IT standards, and other considerations that influence how IAM solutions and services should perform and operate
• Works with IT architecture, security architecture and infrastructure SME's to ensure that all aspects of the security solution architecture are defined, elaborated and tested
• Develops technical IAM solutions during the solutions delivery life cycle, while engaging service owners, architects, project managers, global infrastructure teams, regional IT teams, and key IAM product vendors
• Defines technical component solutions that consider the enterprise architecture strategies, current state environment and constraints
• Analyses and communicates the viability of the solution to meet project timeline, budget and quality
• Works with Lead Architects, Solution Architects, Security Architects, Project Managers, and Group Managers
• Maintains system documentation and protocols to ensure that additions and modifications are thoroughly documented upon implementation
• Works with technical systems specialist, business systems specialists from the impacted application groups/3rd parties to understand the intended approach
• Works with Operations to deploy and integrate new technologies into the current environments
• Expands and build IAM services and tools like Identity Manager & Federation Technologies such as OAUTH, SAML, Open ID, Mobile Auth solutions
• Troubleshoots and performs root cause analysis of incidents to identify solutions, next steps, and issue mitigation
• Participates in department production support on-call rotation
• Drives architectural design decisions, solves technical problems, and makes improvements to our systems and processes
• Provides analytical and technical engineering in the assessment of new security tools and technologies, recommend security related products for consideration within the MVW Information Protection environment.
• Supports the technical engineers in performing research, analysis, and design of enterprise security solutions to meet current and future governance and compliance requirements
• Supports the ability to direct the team to limit or contain the impact of a potential cybersecurity event
• Supports efforts to operationalize security solutions from the design specifications, product installation, maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Is a security point of contact providing support to the overall Global Information Security program
• Works with various IT groups to review and approve new security requests relating to information protection
• Participates in MVW's security response committee on issues and efforts related to network and systems security
• Is a security point of contact providing support to the overall Global Information Security program
• Subject matter expert on MVW security tools such as web and mobile application protection, network access management, Secure Web gateway, Zero Trust, and others that the team supports

Generally, a professional position with specific knowledge in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology). College degree and/or relevant experience typically required.
Specific Candidate Profile
Education
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent work experience. Experience
• At least 8 years' work experience in relevant Information Security position.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role or a similar position, or possessing equivalent skills and experience, is preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of enterprise network security experience in roles such as firewall engineering, intrusion detection, or SIEM analysis.
• Experience ensuring secure, scalable, and policy-driven access to organizational resources
• Hands-on experience with enterprise security solutions, including firewall configuration, IDS/IPS systems, SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic Security).
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of identity and access management best practices, procedures, and software solutions such as CyberArk, ForgeRock, Okta, Ping Identity, etc.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with identity and access management technology, such as single sign-on (SSO), two-factor authentication, privileged access management, etc.
