Position Overview: The Training Specialist will play a key role in developing and managing training programs for Navy personnel. The ideal candidate will be a prior Cryptologic Technician Technical (CTT) with hands-on experience writing Naval Training System Plans (NTSPs) and utilizing data from Job Duty Task Analyses (JDTAs). This position requires a strong understanding of Navy training systems, instructional design, and operational requirements. Key Responsibilities: Develop, revise, and manage NTSPs to support new and updated systems, platforms, and capabilities.
Analyze data from JDTAs to identify training gaps, establish learning objectives, and create comprehensive training solutions.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure training programs align with operational requirements and fleet readiness goals.
Design and develop instructional materials, including lesson plans, job aids, and multimedia content, to support Navy training initiatives.
Conduct training needs assessments and provide recommendations for curriculum development and delivery methods.
Ensure compliance with Navy training standards, policies, and procedures, including adherence to the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) requirements.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including program managers and operational commands, to validate training program effectiveness and relevance.
Provide training support for fleet operations, including conducting instructor-led training and on-site assessments. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalency
Prior Cryptologic Technician Technical (CTT) or related Navy experience.
5+ years of experience in Navy training development or instructional design.
Proven experience in writing NTSPs and utilizing data from JDTAs.
Strong knowledge of Navy training systems, policies, and processes.
Proficiency in instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Applicant Must have an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance, with SCI access
Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens. Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Instructional Design, or a related field.
Certification in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) or equivalent.
Experience with training program evaluation and metrics analysis.
Familiarity with advanced training technologies, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and simulation-based training tools.
Previous experience working with Navy training commands or contractors Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $110,000 to $135,000 annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. ADA Notations: Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, and may occasionally lift and move at least 25 pounds.
