It can be based in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Dallas or Phoenix. - Must be willing to work off hours and weekends when required to support business needs. - Must be willing to participate in a rotating 24x7 on call rotation. - Must have thorough knowledge of IBM i 7R5. - Experience in IBM PowerVM and VIOS configuration and maintenance. - Experience creating and maintaining client LPAR IBM i VMs. - Experienced in a Virtual Tape Library solution (DSI preferred). - Must be experienced in BRMS scheduling, vaulting, and troubleshooting failed backups. - Ability to restore completely an IBM i system from backups using BRMS. - Experience with data replication software (QEDD preferred). - Experience with exit point security management software. Assure Security System Access preferred. - Security hardening using CIS Benchmarks. - experienced programming in CL and/or RPG and/or SQL. - Experience in installation and maintenance of ancillary 3rd party software such as messaging, scheduling, security, and replication software. - Must be experienced in downloading and applying IBM i PTFs. - Must be experienced in downloading and applying IBM Power firmware (Power 10 experience preferred). - Must be experienced in patching and upgrading IBM HMCs. - Experienced in managing IBM DS9500 SAN storage. - Support of application developers and troubleshooting of system issues as required. - Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and ports. - Experience making applications communicate in a heavily firewalled environment. - Creation, maintenance and reporting on user profiles; system security. - Familiarity with securing network protocols, SQL statements, sockets, jobs, etc. Must have technical skills (Min 8+yrs of exp required in all of the below skills) 1.
