IBM APIC Developer

Position Overview:Our direct client in the retail space is seeking an experienced IBM API Connect Developer with 5-6 years of hands-on development experience in gateway scripting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with IBM API Connect, and Gateway scripting, and a strong background in web services, integration, and API security.Key Responsibilities:Develop and manage APIs using IBM API Connect, including Gateway scripting with JavaScript for custom logic, security, and API (link removed)tegrate IBM Identity Manager with API Connect.Design, develop, code, test, and debug software, ensuring high-level and low-level design requirements are met.Execute unit testing and work closely with testing tools such as Swagger or similar.Work with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases.Utilize version control tools for software management.Implement API security measures, including API Key Validation, Authentication, Authorization, and Identity management.Prepare YAML and SOAP files in compliance with Open API standards.Collaborate with project management tools such as Jira or RedmineOptional) Utilize expertise in Drupal for related tasks.Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in API Connect development.Proven experience with IBM API Connect and Gateway scripting.Experience with IBM App Connect, Message Broker (MB), and MQ.Strong knowledge of web services, including WSDL, SOAP, and Restful.Experience with integration between IBM Identity Manager and API Connect.Hands-on technical experience in software design, development, coding, testing, and debugging.Proficiency in using version control tools.Familiarity with API testing tools like Swagger.Working experience with project management tools such as Jira or Redmine.Knowledge of preparing YAML and SOAP files as per Open API standardsOptional) Expertise in Drupal is a plus.Preferred Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
