Key Responsibilities:
As an I&C Programmer, your day-to-day tasks will include:
  • Programming PLC control systems, SCADA systems, and Human Machine Interface (HMI) software for effective design and implementation of instrumentation and control systems, specifically for water and wastewater projects.
  • Reviewing project specifications and drawings, writing control system descriptions, and overseeing start-up and commissioning activities with minimal oversight.
  • Implementing communication systems, such as Ethernet-based local area networks and wireless radio systems.
  • Preparing material take-offs from instrument drawings.
  • Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, Project Team, and clients to provide and implement solutions.
What You Need to Succeed:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in I&C programming.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Experience reading and interpreting I&C drawings (including loops, cabinet layouts/wiring) and P&ID diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI programming, including Rockwell PLCs and VTScada software (preferred).
  • Familiarity with system networking and communication protocols.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle the varying demands from project managers, contractors, and regulators.
  • Precision and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy throughout project delivery.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving and criminal record.
