Hypersonics Test & Evaluation Engineer with Security Clearance

Job Description GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: Kratos Defense and Rocket Support Services (KDRSS) is leading the way in the Department of Defense's highest technical priority- Hypersonic Weapons Research, Development, Test and Evaluation. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist in Aero-Thermal-Structural modeling analyses supporting ground and flight test activities. Utilize in-house, Government and Commercial tools to support the Hypersonic T&E Mission Customize, adapt, and apply available tools to meet requirements given resource and schedule restrictions. Assist in the planning and conduct of aero-thermal-optical ground tests at the country's leading facilities, in coordination with the Nation's top scientists and engineers Coordinate the utilization of test data for the development, verification and validation of Transient, Thermal Analysis Software tools being developed for hypersonic seeker Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Develop written reports, briefings and other documentation. Experience and Skills KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Experience with the use, modification and/or development of scientific computing applications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Assistance with technical proposal writing and development on an as needed basis EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering or related fields US Citizen Active Secret Security Clearance WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Office environment Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones) Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Job Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Coverage
