The Role
- Work in a hands-on manner within a busy production environment, working closely with the Shift Manager.
- Responsible for a small team of Hygiene Cleaners and QC s.
- Responsible for all plant and machinery CIP (Cleaning In Place) within a process/production environment.
- Use knowledge of cleaning agents and COSHH to select materials for cleaning.
- Prepare equipment by performing sterile cleaning-in-place (CIP).
- Optimize cleaning-in-place protocols and procedures to ensure machinery is available to production.
- Validation and Verification of Hygiene activity, including Hygiene Audits.
- Be a key member of HACCP / VACCP teams.
- Undertake training of the Hygiene team and QC s.
- Promote a Safety Culture across all production areas.
- Apply solutions to issues such as Allergen residue, chemical residue and how to clean appropriately.
The Person
- We are seeking an individual who has held a previous role requiring high levels of hygiene and sanitation where there has been an emphasis on CIP (Cleaning In Place).
- Suitable individuals may come from any of the following industries: Food Manufacturing, Beverage Processing, Dairy, Brewery, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, Chemical Processing.
- Experience and understanding of the 4 T's of CIP (Turbulence, Time, Temperature, Titration)
- This role may be suitable for a Hygiene Supervisor, Hygiene Manager, Process Supervisor or similar.
