The Hydraulic Engineer supports the efforts of the US Hydraulics group through the creation and maintenance of hydraulic simulation models of the Their assets. The Engineer also supports ongoing efforts in Operations, Engineering, and Commercial with hydraulic analysis and recommendations.
Job Responsibilities
- Simulation
- Develops, updates, and maintains simulation models using Synergi Pipeline Simulator
- Validates and ensures the proper storage of the pipeline models
- Runs and analyzes the simulation models to help provide hydraulic recommendations
- Transient Analysis
- Analyzes transient scenarios and develops safe operating limits for the pipeline system
- Writes and updates surge studies based on the results of the transient analysis
- Works with Operations and Senior members of the team to determine acceptable paths forward to solve over-pressure concerns
- Hydraulic Support
- Provides support for recommendations for Engineering and Commercial in pursuit of opportunities
- Gathers data to help troubleshoot operational issues on the pipeline systems
- Works within the technical services group to develop operational solutions to various issues
- Develop and analyze energy saving ideas and optimization strategies
Compensation:
$140,000 to $150,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
