Personal Injury Attorney - Jersey City, New Jersey
An established plaintiff law firm seeks an experienced, NJ-licensed Personal Injury Attorney with at least five years of relevant experience. This position involves managing a variety of personal injury cases, including but not limited to auto, motorcycle, truck accidents, and slip-and-fall incidents. The ideal candidate will handle cases from initial intake through settlement or verdict, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and effectively collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to secure positive outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities include conducting client interviews, developing strategic case plans, reviewing discovery documents, and managing a caseload of approximately 150 files. You will schedule and conduct depositions, handle court appearances and hearings, supervise two paralegals, and maintain close communication with clients to advocate effectively on their behalf. Strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
Qualified candidates must have active New Jersey bar admission, at least five years of experience in plaintiff personal injury law, and proven expertise in negotiating settlements and managing litigation. Trial experience, proficiency with Microsoft Suite and case management software, along with the capability to multitask, are required. Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is preferred.
