The Role We are seeking a motivated Front End Software Engineer to join our client's team in Columbia, MD. This role focuses on building intuitive applications that meet the needs of users, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, continuous improvement, and writing maintainable code for a Big Data Platform (BDP). The Front End Software Engineer will assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications. US Citizenship and a current TS/SCI is required for consideration. The salary range for this role is $185K-$270k, with a full benefits package. What You'll Do: Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications. JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review. Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences. Help define and interact with REST based API's. Troubleshoot customer-reported issues in applications and provide support. Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing. What You'll Bring: BS+ 9 years of experience with front end software development/engineering (MS+7, or 13 years w/o degree) 9+ years of experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (i.e.: Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency. Familiarity with Git or other version control software. Comfortable working on a nix command line. Self-motivation; Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly. Problem-solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with BDP is a plus. DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required as directed by the customer, but are not required for initial consideration. Clearance Requirements A current TS/SCI U.S. Government Security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship required. Location Hybrid schedule in Columbia, MD (1-2 days per week on-site).
