HVAC Technician / Installer

The HVAC Technician / Installer is responsible for the alteration, maintenance, repair, testing, installation and troubleshooting of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems and equipment in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Evaluate, service and /or repair HVAC systems and equipment
Install, alter, and/or repair HVAC systems and equipment
Operate machinery and power tools in the installation, alteration and repair of HVAC systems and equipment
Maintain all company tools and equipment assigned to him/her
Responsible for vehicle maintenance and appearance and maintaining proper truck inventory levels
Complete assigned service tasks in a professional manner
Assist warehouse manager in maintaining HVAC supply inventory
Request all material for jobs and return unused material from jobs
Maintain communications with supervisor as to the progress of all jobs
Accurately and timely complete and submit required paperwork
Attend appropriate training and provide on-the-job training for junior or subordinate crew members in skills of the HVAC trade
Forward all sales leads for quotes to the Sales Department in a timely manner
Respond to customer inquiries or complaints in a professional manner
Remain knowledgeable in all applicable local, state, national and industry codes, regulations and standards
Qualifications:
Completion of HVAC apprenticeship, along with HVAC construction and service experience
Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions in English
Ability to read and interpret HVAC prints, diagrams, and schematics
Ability to make appropriate mathematical calculations
Provide a set of own personal had tools to be used daily. Company provides all specialized tools
Physical ability to sit, stand, turn, walk, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, reach above the shoulder, lift and carry up to 80 pounds, push, grasp, pull, climb stairs, climb ladders, climb scaffolds
Have sufficient vision, including the ability to identify colors, and hearing to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job
Valid Drivers license with clean Motor Vehicle Record per companys insurance standards
High school graduate or equivalent
Compensation and Schedule Overview:
Competitive hourly wage based on experience
The company provides maintenance truck, cell phone, and uniforms
Home daily. Typical hours are Monday Friday with a 5 to 10-week on-call rotation for emergency calls
