Insight Global is looking for a HVAC Technician to join a large, distinguished company in Birmingham, AL. As the Maintenance Coordinator/HVAC Technician, you will support the Maintenance Manager and the Senior Maintenance Coordinator in developing, leading, and monitoring processes surrounding maintenance operations. You'll provide valuable assistance when it comes to following costs, performing preventative, necessary maintenance, organizing schedules and personnel work assignments, and overseeing major repairs and construction projects.
You would be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week (Schedule is M-Fri 6:45AM - 3:45PM) and must resolve any problem which occurs in any of the facilities that would impact working conditions. This Maintenance Coordinator will be a staple to the company and play a vital work in workplace/warehouse daily functions.
Other responsibilities include:
- Inspecting facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
- Preparing weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the development and review of data system status reports for verification that critical equipment is maintained according to the operations and maintenance plan.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Willingness to work on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- 2-5 years of proven facilities maintenance (commercial OR institutional) OR a state board certification in Electrical OR HVAC contracting
- Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and building codes
Compensation:
$30-$40/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
