About the Role The Human Resources supervisor is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Manager in all phases of the Human Resources activities at Kamtek. This includes all Employment, Recruitment, Training, Wage and Salary Administration to include Payroll validation, Record Keeping, Benefits Administration, Employee Relations, and Employee Activities. Responsible for supporting and coaching the department, supervisors, and managers by ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures. Also responsible to sustaining positive employee relations throughout the plant by maintaining visibility and daily contact with team members and designated areas. The Human Resources Supervisor is responsible to ensure that the Open Door Policy works effectively at Kamtek. Your Responsibilities Assists Human Resources Manager in providing leadership and direction to the management team, ensuring that at Kamtek will maintain a positive, healthy employee relations climate and that we are managing to principles set forth in the Magna Employees Charter. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Ability to lead, coach and effectively develop HR Generalist. Investigates and responds to Hotline Calls, Formal Hearings and EEOC claims. Personally supports, assists, and provides skills, enhancement training for all supervisors, line leaders, and management team members. Assists and provides direction to development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures for the entire division. Keeps Front-Line Leadership advised of any changes to State and Federal Regulations, current laws or new laws that are passed that would impact in the way we manage our Human Resources policies and procedures. Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures Understand and promote Magna's philosophies and Employee's Charter. Participate and support the hourly and salary recruiting process. Develop strategies to meet departmental staffing requirements. Participate in the interview process up to and including extending offers of employment. Who we are looking for WORK EXPERIENCE WHAT TYPES? HR role in a manufacturing environment, automotive sector is preferred; working knowledge of Employment Law HOW MUCH? Minimum 5 years' Human Resources experience required EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business administration or Human Resource Management or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Your preferred qualifications Knowledge of Wage and salary, classifications plans, labor standards, etc. Understand our Employee relations procedures, laws, and policies. Data processing applications as they relate to personnel. Understanding of our Employee benefits programs. Reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and or governmental regulations. Writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to prepare employee communication that effectively conveys the desired message in a timely format. Presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
