HR & Payroll Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accurately verify and enter employee payroll hours into the payroll system on a weekly and bi-weekly basis.
  • Process and distribute all required union reports on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Serve as a point of contact for union-related reporting requests and provide appropriate documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather data and documentation required for billing, payroll, and compliance purposes.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including onboarding, enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Support basic HR functions such as maintaining employee records, preparing new hire documentation, and assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and general HR policies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Help ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to payroll and human resources.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as needed, such as audits, training support, or employee engagement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support payroll, HR, and general business operations.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and accounting principles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems is a plus.
