Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (with occasional extended hours as needed)
Are you a detail-oriented HR professional looking to join a dynamic and supportive team? We're seeking a Human Resources Operations Coordinator to support our HR operations and contribute to a seamless employee experience. In this role, you'll manage new hire processing, maintain accurate employee records, and assist with a variety of HR programs and initiatives.
You'll be a key team player ensuring HR and payroll data accuracy, compliance with policies and regulations, and providing top-notch administrative support to HR Business Partners and Managers.
HRIS & Data Management:
- Process hires for faculty, staff, and student workers
- Ensure all new hire paperwork is complete and accurately entered into the HRIS (Workday)
- Run reports and assist with employment transitions
Administrative Support:
- Assist with job postings, background checks, and reference verifications
- Maintain employee files and coordinate office workflows
- Support HR programs (tuition remission, training, recognition events, etc.)
- Serve as backup for HR Assistant for scheduling, phone coverage, ID card printing, and more
Compliance & Coordination:
- Oversee the Authorized Drivers Program
- Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal policies
- Provide excellent customer service and communication with staff at all levels
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or HR/business-related college coursework preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in Human Resources (HRIS, recruiting, or employee relations)
- 1 year in higher education or a similar environment is a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (Workday preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail, organization, and discretion with confidential information
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
This is an on-site role with regular hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Summer hours may vary slightly. Occasional overtime, evenings, or weekend work may be required based on college needs.
