What We're Looking For: Rock Creek Foundation is seeking a Full-time Human Resources Manager to join our team in Silver Spring, MD. As the Human Resources Manager, you will primarily lead and oversee the daily operations of the HR department related to the Rock Creek Foundation (RCF) and CCRN entities. This role is responsible for providing direction and supervision for our core HR functions while reporting directly to the Director, Human Resources and RCF President (as needed). What You'll Do: Team Management: Manages the Human Resources team providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management while fostering a collaborative high-performing culture. Ensures the team is equipped with the necessary resources to achieve their goals. Collaborative Partnerships: Establish strong relationships with management to understand their human resources needs and priorities. Attend leadership and other meetings for RCF and CCRN as representative of the HR team. Represent RCF and CCRN in external stakeholder meetings, as necessary or requested. Talent Acquisition: Oversees the full cycle recruitment process. Partners with Recruiters to develop & implement comprehensive strategies to attract and engage candidates across different channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, & referrals. Coordinate with Human Resource Coordinator for a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Contribute to recruitment marketing campaigns, including job descriptions and outreach strategies. Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, ensuring fair resolution and adherence to legal and organizational policies. Stay updated on federal, state, local, and industry regulations, advising leadership on compliance requirements. Consult with the HR Director and legal counsel on complex employee matters or policy updates. Oversee HR compliance tasks, including audits and personnel file maintenance. Benefits Administration and Communications: Manages benefits plan communication and ensures employee questions and matters are handled quickly and effectively. Manages the logistics for open enrollment activities, including employee education sessions, materials preparation, and coordination with vendors. Leave of Absence Management: Responsible for managing activities associated with all leave of absences, FMLA administration & workplace accommodation requests. HR Compliance: Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with relevant employment laws and regulations. Stays updated on changes in labor laws and recommends necessary adjustments to maintain compliance. Performance Management and Audit Readiness: Responsible for managing the annual To Dos which are inclusive of performance review planning. Ensures HR documentation is always to successfully complete internal and external audits. Training and Development: Helps ensure training is delivered as needed to enhance employee skills, support professional growth, & address company needs. Coordinate with HR team to identify additional training to create a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Employee Engagement: Encourage and lead health and wellness campaigns for staff, aligning with organizational priorities. Develop and implement staff recognition programs and wellness initiatives. Manages employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and enhance employee satisfaction and retention. HR Analytics: Ensure consistency and alignment of HR practices across all companies. Analyzes HR data & metrics to identify trends & insights, making data-driven decisions to improve HR processes and strategies. Customer Service: Respond to all internal and external inquiries and communications in a timely manner. Typically, within 48 business hours maximum. Other duties as assigned. What We Require: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, AND six plus (6+) years' related experience. SHRM-CP or PHR or SHRM-SCP or SPHR Preferred.
