We are seeking a Human Resources Manager. As a key member of the Sequence management team, the HR Manager will report to the VP of Finance & Administration and is responsible for all Human Resource related functions of the corporation. The HR Manager is accountable for the employee relations, culture, onboarding & offboarding, compensation & benefits, compliance, performance management, HRIS & data management, and employee engagement & wellness.
Responsibilities:
- Address workplace concerns and foster a positive work environment.
- Manage conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures, ensuring fairness and compliance.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints, harassment, or misconduct, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Encourage open communication and promote initiatives that enhance employee morale and satisfaction.
- Manage the onboarding process to ensure new employees have a smooth transition into the organization, including orientation sessions, policy reviews, and introductions to key team members.
- Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews, knowledge transfer, and coordination of final payroll and benefits.
- Analyze feedback from exit interviews to identify trends and improve employee retention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements during onboarding and offboarding.
- Administration of compensation updates.
- Manage benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Provide guidance on payroll and tax-related concerns in collaboration with the finance team.
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to align with company values and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with legal standards.
- Conduct regular audits to assess HR policies and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with senior management to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business goals.
- Analyze workforce data and trends to provide insights for decision-making on workforce planning and talent retention.
- Guide managers in setting clear performance expectations and providing constructive feedback.
- Identify performance improvement opportunities and provide coaching or development plans.
- Manage and maintain HR Information Systems (HRIS) to ensure accurate employee records.
- Utilize HR analytics and reporting tools to track key HR metrics such as turnover & engagement
- Develop and implement employee engagement programs that enhance job satisfaction.
- Organize wellness programs, team-building activities, and recognition events.
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification (eg, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
- At least 3 years proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR role
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with HR software and HRIS system
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a Full time position. Flexibility in the hours is allowed (based on organizational needs) however, standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Overtime will be required at times. Some non-standard hours may be necessary based on client or internal needs, and this can include, though not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended days, holidays, etc.
