Responsibilities:
  • Team member recruitment and selection plan
  • Job Advertisements - run ads for recruiting as requested by HR Supervisor, maintain communication with Managers about postings as needs
  • Recruiting liaison - review resumes/applications, conduct initial phone screenings
  • Run background checks, insurance driving confirmation
  • Perform new hire orientations, paperwork packets, and handbook review
  • Maintain equal opportunity programs to achieve diversity goals
  • Maintain an organizational structure and monitor staffing levels to accomplish company goals and objectives
  • Assist with benefit programs to include: health, retirement, death, disability, and unemployment
  • Processing enrollments quickly and accurately
  • Provide new hires with explanations of benefits and instructing them on enrollment and fulfillment procedures
  • Organize yearly open enrollment in partnership with the brokerage
  • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
  • Monitor company culture and changes that may impact company goals and objectives
  • Reporting HR related data such as turnover, recruitment statuses, employee demographics, and more
  • Update and maintain the HR systems
  • Event logs - compliments, warnings, grievances, concerns
  • Employee files - warning documents, terminations, signed paperwork
  • Performance - KPIs, pay history, next review data
  • System administration - add or remove users, manage permission settings, maintain database
  • Performance management/KPIs
  • Create KPI packets for employees that are due for reviews
  • Ensure ratings and comments are fair and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; and resolving employee grievances; and counseling employees and supervisors
  • Operations and Payroll Support
  • Double check weekly leave submissions, submit weekly report to payroll and timekeeping
  • Provide payroll with weekly updates such as pay changes and benefit changes
  • Provide back up Operations Supervisor by assisting with accidents, incidents and injury inquiries, 401(k) communications, license renewals, and offboarding procedures
  • Support the Receptionist with additional tasks and oversight

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business is preferred
  • PHR or SHRM-CP a plus.
  • Must come from a HVAC, Mechanical or Construction background
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in human resources within a manufacturing environment
  • In-depth knowledge of general human resources policies and procedures as well as experience administering safety programs
  • Proficiency in a HRIS system and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team-oriented approach and ability to establish rapport and trust quickly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity
