A rapidly growing distribution company is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team on a contract basis to cover a maternity leave. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of company-wide HR policies and practices, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate standards.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, retention strategies, and succession planning.
- Oversee onboarding, new hire orientation, employee engagement, and recognition programs.
- Conduct and manage exit interviews, analyzing feedback to inform HR strategy.
- Direct training programs, career development, performance evaluations, and compensation planning.
- Stay informed on wage and salary trends to maintain competitive compensation.
- Monitor HR compliance with federal/state employment laws, including EEO and Affirmative Action.
- Provide strategic HR guidance to senior leadership and handle complex employee relations issues.
- Supervise and support HR/benefits staff, ensuring high-quality performance and adherence to policy.
- Handle payroll processing and ensure accuracy.
- Create HR presentations for internal stakeholders and external agencies as needed.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of relevant HR experience or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and compliance regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
- Excellent multitasking, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience handling sensitive employee matters and confidential information.
- Proficient in supervising staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring quality work.
