CSP's Human Resource Practice has been exclusively engaged by a manufacturing company in their search for a Human Resources Manager. The incumbent will be an HR Dept of 1, and needs experience as a Dept of 1. This individual also needs to have experience working with hourly and salaried employees. This role requires this candidate to be on-site five days a week in Cockeysville, MD.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage talent acquisition process, to include drafting job postings, screening potential candidates and coordinating the interview process with applicable managers.
  • Manage new employee onboarding, provide new hire paperwork, coordinate Workstation preparation with applicable departments, introduce new hire to office team and enter HRIS for payroll processing. Coordinate and develop onboarding plans for new hires to get acquainted with company programs and culture.
  • Develop job descriptions for new positions, ensuring that key competencies and duties are identified.
  • Process payroll including semi-monthly salary, quarterly bonus, and monthly payroll, to include state registrations and response to any notices.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations and promote and implement best practices.
  • Manage all benefit plan administration including medical, 401(k), life and disability.
  • Manage and coordinate training and development programs and opportunities for employees.
  • Collaborate with the COO around the annual performance planning process, researching, and assisting in the development of performance evaluations, providing training for management and reviewing and processing completed evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6-10 years' work experience in human resources.
  • Must have experience working with hourly and salaried employees.
  • Needs to have experience administering payroll and benefits. ADP experience is a plus.
  • Tenacious, determined, and enthusiastic in meeting deadlines.
  • Self-starter, taking initiative on daily tasks, and able to work in an organized manner.
  • Strong and demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors' degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • SHRM-CP, PHR or other HR certification preferred
