POSITION: Human Resources Management LOCATION: El Segundo, CA REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active TS with SCI eligibility POSITION TYPE/STANDARD WORK HOURS: Full time, 40 hours THE OPPORTUNITY: Upon award, BTAS will be filling potential openings for the Space Systems Command (SSC). SSC plays a critical role in advancing the United States's space capabilities, delivering cutting-edge solutions to protect and enhance national security. SSC/SZBC specializes in highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to support the Department of Defense's (DoD) current and future operational needs. As a leader in space technology, SSC/SZ-BC is responsible for the development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems spanning the entire acquisition life cycle. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the government in routine business operations, including executive-level administrative support, office management, personnel management, human resources management, and configuration and data management. Duties encompass research, statistical report preparation, information requests handling, personnel and appraisal records coordination, mail distribution, office support services, executive schedule management, government travel planning and reimbursement (Defense Travel System), staff activities coordination, and meeting, event, and convention arrangements. Provide analysis, interpretation, monitoring, dissemination, and resolution support for government tasks using the Task Management Tool (TMT). Ensure compliance with Space Systems Command, Space Force, Air Force, and Department of Defense (DoD) policies, laws, and regulations. Facilitate interactions with key acquisition organizations and oversee the quality and completeness of acquisition and requirements-related documents. Develop, document, modify, transition, and maintain standard functional databases to support organizational mission requirements. Plan and execute the transition of program specific software and databases into standardized systems upon approval. Database access is at the government's discretion. Manage government civilian recordkeeping and act as the primary contact for civilian human resource management. Provide guidance on civilian procedures, rules, and regulations. Assist in identifying vacant positions, creating requisitions justifications, completing Request for Personnel Actions, coordinating security waivers, creating Core Personnel Documents, updating Manpower Change Requests, and handling special civilian manpower requests such as Reimbursable, Superior Qualification Packages, By-Name-Requests, and Position Designations. Support meeting administration including scheduling, security controls, and execution. Use Microsoft Calendar for routine meetings setup, distribute meeting objectives to key members in advance, capture action items, record minutes, and distribute them promptly. Meeting minutes include purpose and objectives, attendee details, reasons for key member absences if applicable, meeting effectiveness in relation to mission objectives, and event/decision summaries. Assist with military and civilian awards and decorations processing, including quarterly and annual awards and special trophies. Monitor status of outbound personnel for decorations timelines, order plaques, update recognition boards, assist with All Calls notifications. Manage award timelines notifications, prepare award packages ensuring regulation compliance, monitor award package processing until presentation, and support the awards board process including vote consolidation and results presentation. Develop and maintain schedules using Microsoft Suite applications such as Microsoft Project. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A BA/BS degree is required. The person in this position must be an SME Recognized Industry Leader. Must have at least 20 years of experience performing civilian and military personnel management and administrative operations support activities; including specifically the areas of: Civilian Human Resource Management, Military & Civilian Manpower Management, and Information Management/Operations Support within the government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit/non-profit government support/development contractor arena, of which five years shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of Air Force programs. Must have experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project. Must have experience in Defense Civilian Personnel Data System. Must have experience in Customer Support Unit App Must have experience in Online Unit Manning Doc SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position may supervise the work of others. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%. TRAVEL: Little if any travel is required. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position.
