The Opportunity:
Our client is a large-scale manufacturing organization (non-automotive) that is looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to their team in Reno, Nevada for a 6-9 month contract role. The Human Resources Generalist reports directly to Director, Human Resources and is primarily responsible for overseeing and supporting complex HR processes including employee relations, talent management, benefits administration, and employment law and regulation compliance.

What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Managing diverse human resources activities focused on team member relations and engagement.
- Providing leadership, coaching, and compliance guidance to managers and supervisors.
- Conducting employee relations investigations and recommending resolutions to maintain a positive climate.
- Contributing to leadership development through talent and performance management strategies.
- Coordinating performance management processes and delivering training.
- Championing initiatives to foster a strong culture and local employer of choice status.
- Ensuring confidentiality of sensitive employee data and files.
- Handling employee concerns and ensuring thorough investigations and resolutions.
- Communicating HR-related issues to all team members.
- Facilitating corrective action and termination processes.
- Driving team member engagement strategies and analyzing feedback.
- Developing and deploying US-specific policies and training for team members.
- Delivering training to promote a positive work environment and reduce organizing risks.
- Implementing labor strategies in collaboration with outside counsel.
- Participating in HR strategy meetings and special project teams.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Post-Secondary Degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related fields.
- 3 - 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of US labor laws and compliance issues related to employee relations.
- Proven ability to advise corporate leaders on employee relations challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Experience mentoring and coaching team members on human resources matters.
- Expertise in dispute resolution procedures and assessing employment-related risks.
- Proven experience leading employees in a non-union manufacturing environment, supporting hourly staff.
- Skilled in providing strategic and operational advice on complex issues to management.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and maturity in decision-making.
