Human Resources Generalist
Job Summary:
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. The HR Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive back-office HR support to Platform Partners, ensuring seamless execution of HR processes and compliance. The HR Generalist works closely with HR management and coordinators to handle various HR functions including the administration of HR policies and procedures, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Support process for setting goals and provide guidance on performance management processes.
- Support process in developing and administering performance improvement plans (PIP).
- Assist with the process for documenting disciplinary action items in accordance with company policies and legal compliance, ensuring fair and consistent treatment.
- Create, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Foster positive internal HR team relationships through conflict resolution and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date job descriptions in alignment with agency structure and role expectations.
- Evaluate and assign FLSA classifications to ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws.
- Conduct compensation benchmarking and market research to support competitive and equitable pay structures.
- Assist with creation and project planning for employee engagement surveys; analyze results to recommend improvement strategies.
- Generate HR reports as requested.
- Assist with documentation to present to legal regarding personnel matters.
- Communicate and respond to inquiries with a sense of urgency to internal HR team.
- Complete other projects and routine work as necessary to support the business.
- Stay updated with HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of related Human Resources experience
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HR software systems
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in HR record keeping and documentation
- Excellent communication both in written form (email and document writing) and verbal
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize work to meet expected and routine deadlines in a fast-paced business environment without oversight
- Capacity to build and maintain relationships with both internal team members and agency personnel, including strong team player skills
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented traits
- Self-motivated, self-starting, with a positive attitude open to flexibility and learning in the role
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to pass a criminal background check as permitted by law
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Organization Development, or a related field; Human Resources Certification preferred (PHR)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (Hybrid Work Schedule)
