Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and principled HR Director to lead the strategy, operations, and culture of the human resources function across a multi-regional organization. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing key HR areas including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, benefits administration, and organizational development.

The HR Director will champion ethical, consistent, and people-focused practices that drive a legally compliant, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. This leader will collaborate closely with executive leadership to align people strategies with business goals and cultivate a mission-driven team culture across both corporate and field-based operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Alignment

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, aligning HR initiatives with company-wide objectives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategic plan, using key metrics to track progress in areas such as retention, engagement, and internal promotions.
  • Foster a values-driven culture through inclusive and transparent practices that build trust at all levels.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment to attract high-quality, mission-aligned candidates.
  • Enhance onboarding processes for consistency, cultural alignment, and retention across multiple locations.
  • Integrate values-based evaluation methods to ensure long-term fit and high performance.

Culture & Employee Engagement

  • Promote a positive, inclusive workplace through strategic engagement and communication efforts.
  • Administer employee surveys and lead follow-up planning to support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance collaboration and recognition across departments.

Performance Management & Development

  • Oversee performance management systems that include annual reviews, development planning, and goal setting.
  • Implement training programs to close skills gaps and ensure organizational readiness.
  • Support career pathing and internal mobility to strengthen talent pipelines.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all operating regions.
  • Oversee equitable and legally sound compensation and benefits programs.
  • Maintain and optimize HR systems and data integrity for operational efficiency.

Employee Relations & Well-Being

  • Serve as a resource for conflict resolution, investigations, and performance concerns, ensuring timely and respectful resolution.
  • Lead employee well-being initiatives including mental health, work-life balance, and wellness programs.
  • Maintain consistent, fair, and values-aligned disciplinary procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR practices across multiple states (preferably in the Western U.S.).
  • Proven experience building strong, engaged, and values-aligned teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated use of HR data and metrics to drive decisions.
  • Passion for creating healthy, people-first workplaces.

  • Pay: $170k-$185k (DOE) + discretionary bonuses
