Chesapeake Search Partners has been retained by a local Real Estate firm to identify their next Human Resources leader. The role requires 3 days on site-Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday with the balance remote.
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Director will lead and oversee HR policies and programs, collaborating with senior leadership to align HR activities with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance & Policy: Ensure compliance with employment laws and update policies as needed.
- Recruitment & Hiring: Oversee staffing needs, recruitment, and diversity initiatives.
- Talent Management: Manage performance reviews, training, and professional development.
- Succession Planning: Develop leadership pipeline and prepare employees for key roles.
- Terminations & Employee Relations: Handle terminations, resolve disputes, and manage disciplinary actions.
- Compensation & Benefits: Oversee equitable compensation, bonus programs, and employee benefit plans, including health, retirement, and wellness programs.
- HR Systems & Payroll: Administer HRIS systems and payroll, ensuring accurate records and responding to inquiries.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Develop DEI strategies to foster an inclusive work environment.
- Other Programs: Manage additional HR programs such as wellness, internships, and compliance with federal contracting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 15 years of HR experience.
- Must hold SHRM-SCP or HRCI SPHR certification.
- Pension and Self insurance experience is ideal.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (ADP WFN)
- Ability to manage multiple locations and handle confidential information.
Working Environment:
Office-based, with tasks including sitting, standing, and computer use.
