Summary of Position:
We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for employees, providing HR support and assisting with various HR functions on second shift. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential employee matters professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address employee relations questions and concerns at the HR front desk.
- Document employee conversations and escalate issues to the HR Manager as needed.
- Act as a liaison between employees and supervisors, ensuring follow-up on employee concerns.
- Direct employee inquiries to payroll, benefits, or safety departments for resolution.
- Maintain accurate data in HR software systems and assist with administrative duties such as ordering uniforms and safety shoes.
- Support HR, payroll, benefits, recruitment, and safety teams with special projects and reporting.
- Manage security access software to create employee, temporary, and contractor badges.
- Ensure I-9 and work authorization compliance for new and existing employees.
- Uphold food safety and quality standards in compliance with industry regulations.
- Promote a workplace culture focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Adhere to and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of administrative experience required.
- Experience in human resources, accounts payable, or office management preferred.
- Prior manufacturing experience
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Microsoft Project preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with operations staff.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
