Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to join our client in Chicago. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing new hire onboarding, benefits administration, and maintaining human resource documentation. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient HR operation, contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate the new hire onboarding process, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource documentation, including employee records, compliance documents, and policy manuals.
- Assist with employee relations issues, providing support and guidance to staff as needed.
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and enhance the employee experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in a coordinator or administrative capacity.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
